Contaminated gutters Contaminated gutters

Before: Contaminated gutters

The Problem

The gutters had become heavily contaminated with weeds and foliage which had started to cause problems with water leaks and blockages. This kind of situation where stagnant water is an issue can also lead to further problems with flies and other insect pests especially during the spring and summer months.

The Solution

A 2 man team worked their way along the length of the guttering on both sides of the building, removing foliage and blockages. Down spouts were removed, cleaned and replaced where blockages had started to affect the flow of rain water down into the drainage system. We even had a unique tool designed and fabricated specifically for this job as access into the gutters was restricted and difficult.

Result

The foliage was removed and the gutters cleaned. The flow of rain water was restored and further leakages and pest problems were prevented. Our customer also had the local foliage pruned and cut back to help prevent future problems.
